AL -Ahli Hospital Speech Therapy Clinic Holds a Special Work shop for Families and Children with Special Needs

In our continues search of the best quality in services and integration with the local environment, and in its commitment in supporting the families of special needs children Al-Ahli Hospital has proudly presented the first workshop in Qatar the said workshop was conducted by Mr. Omar Yaseen Al-Sharif, Senior Speech & Language Therapist, on Thursday the 28th of November, 2013. during the workshop Mr. Omar presented, identified , and tackled the following points:

• 1. Developing better communication skills for any given disorder.
• 2. Developing better Interaction through play.
• 3. Helping children with special needs to interact with other children through play.
• 4. How to increase language skills and social development.

Mr. Omar provided professional facts in educating families to participate in the treatment of the specific condition. He said “families play a key role in the support of any person with a special need, as ( the Family )who have the greatest knowledge of the child’s ability, their environment and their natural daily life experiences. This information is vital in encouraging the progress and any positive and meaningful development in a child’s ability.
